Skating and skiing since earliest memories.
Played hockey, lacrosse and rugby in youth.
1986 age 19 started Outdoor Pursuits Program in the Faculty of Physical Education (now Kinesiology) University of Calgary Graduating in 1990 with BPE ODPU.
Climbing and Skiing in Western Canada.
1993 age 27 started Masters Degree in Industrial Design University of Calgary Graduating in 1998 with MEDes ID.
2001-2003 received the Meredith Graduate Doctoral Fellowship for Research in Interdisciplinary Footwear Design. Worked with members of the Human Performance Laboratory, Computer Science and Environmental Design at the University of Calgary.
